Giles Prowse - Associate Director

Giles is an environmental engineer, with more than fourteen years experience working across resource and waste management, sustainable development and environmental consultancy.

Having worked in both the private and public sectors, including engineering consultancies, a charity and an environmental regulator, Giles has a broad appreciation of legislation, regulation and policy as well as technical and commercial considerations.

He has worked on numerous energy from waste projects, including undertaking technical review of Energy from Waste (EfW) proposals, undertaking due diligence assessments and writing EIS applications. He has led large engagements including delivery of optioneering and technology feasibility, site selection, waste management infrastructure strategy development and stakeholder engagement. Giles was project manager and stakeholder engagement lead on the development of the Queensland EfW policy and accompanying technical guideline. Giles has also led on numerous Operational Waste Management Plans (OWMPs) and associated masterplan strategies for commercial, residential, mixed use, precinct and other types of developments as well as waste flow and carbon modeling projects.

Giles has a strong enthusiasm and confidence in applying an analytical approach to problems and conveying solutions in a clear and effective manner. He is adept at coordinating multiple complex workstreams whilst being skilled in interacting and communicating with stakeholders as well as managing teams.
